Roger Bullivant Limited says that its latest purchase has a breadth of capabilities that make it well suited to commercial sites, industrial developments and infrastructure schemes.
The Hütte HBR 204MP is designed to install 300mm to 600mm continuous flight auger (CFA) piles and sectional flight auger (SFA) piles, as well as temporary and permanent casings and overburden systems using air or water flushing.
Bullivant already has a second HBR 204MP in production for delivery later this year.
One of the defining features of the new rig is its innovative segmental mast design, the company says. This system allows the rig to be reconfigured on site into multiple mast and stroke combinations, from a full 15.5-metre mast with a 10.6-metre stroke down to a compact 5.7-metre mast with a 3.8-metre stroke. These changes can be completed in under half a day, enabling a piling crew to respond to constraints such as low headroom, restricted access or varying ground conditions without the delays or impacts associated with mobilising additional equipment.
It is also operated by radio remote control, providing the operator with all round visibility, better positioning accuracy and a safer working environment.
In comparison to other rigs currently in the Bullivant fleet, the HBR 204MP delivers a longer mast and stroke option, faster configuration changes and the added benefit of integrated air-flush capability for overburden work. These advancements will allow the company to take on more complex schemes with greater confidence, making the rig particularly valuable for the its growing commercial workload where ground conditions can be more unpredictable and access more constrained, Bullivant said.
