Concrete equipment specialist Utranazz has cut the prices of its Sermac truck-mounted concrete pump range by around £50,000 or more.
While Sermac remains in Italian ownership, the other major European manufacturers of concrete pumps have long since been taken over by Chinese companies: Cifa is owned by Zoomlion, Putzmeister is owned by Sany and Schwing is part of XCMG.
Sermac and its dealers have had to respond to stay competitive.
However, Utranazz says that the price cuts come with no change to specification, build-quality, performance or reliability.
Under the new pricing structure the Sermac 4ZR20 (on Mercedes 1827, 4x2, 18t GVW) is listed at £255,000; the Sermac 5Z36 (on Mercedes Arocs 2643, 6x4, 26t GVW) is £350,000; and the Sermac 5RZ46 Superlight (on Mercedes Arocs 3246, 8x4, 32t GVW) is £425,000
Utranazz commercial director Will Harris said: “This repricing gives contractors and pump operators access to European-engineered concrete pumps at a more competitive price point. It’s the same proven Sermac workhorse with the same performance, at a more competitive price.â€
