Saint-Gobain names Chaldecott's successor

1 day Building products giant Saint-Gobain has appointed Dean O’Sullivan as chief executive of its UK & Ireland business.

Dean O’Sullivan takes over as chief executive of Saint-Gobain UK & Ireland from Mike Chaldecott, who is retiring after 42 years with the company.

O’Sullivan has already held a number of leadership roles within Saint-Gobain, starting as a sales manager at Saint-Gobain’s Gyproc business in Ireland in 2007, becoming sales and marketing director of the combined Gyproc and Isover Ireland businesses in 2011.

He then moved to the UK to lead Saint-Gobain’s Okarno (formerly Artex) business as managing director in 2013 and then its combined Insulation businesses including Isover in the UK in 2019.

Since 2021, O’Sullivan has been managing director of Saint-Gobain’s UK Interior Solutions businesses, comprising Isover and British Gypsum.
