Innovation in Plastics

Customer led innovation is key to our success, delivering a number of Westley Plastics â€˜firstsâ€™ during our history. Back in 1987, Westley Plastics were leading the way with Crane Outrigger Pads. Originally developed as a unique solution, our sales team recognised the significance of this development before launching the product industry wide. Crane pads in Nylon and polyethylene are now commonplace but remembered as a Westley Plastics first. Similarly Nylon sheave wheels and mandrel packer plates were also first produced from Westlon material.

Our Materials

Westlon and Westex are at the centre of our materials range, out of which we have developed engineering plastic products for a cross section of industries including construction, steel, rail, water treatment and automotive. Our materials compare and compete successfully with other brand names including Nylatron, Ertalon, Oilon, Bakelite (Laminates), Tufnol and Devlon.
