James Nisbet & Partners was established in 1964 as a firm of Chartered Quantity Surveyors and converted into a limited liability partnership in 2005. Nisbet LLP is now a broad based construction cost and management consultancy.

Although the Firm’s original cost management skills have developed to include project management and health and safety services, it has retained the importance of its cost management background.

Nisbet has remained a Partnership because the Partners wish to ensure that they can continue to provide a high quality, independent client-focussed service free from outside control or influence. The Firm particularly values repeat business which accounts for a significant proportion of the Firm’s work.

The Firm has offices located throughout England from which it serves the whole of the British Isles. The Firm also accepts selected business from overseas.

The size of the Firm is carefully monitored and continues to grow enabling the Partnership to invest in its personnel and technical support and to remain as an innovative presence in the construction industry. At the same time the Partners wish to retain a personal impact in the development of the Firm ensuring it adapts to the changing shape of the industry and the requirements of the Firm's clients.
