Sany’s first micro excavator

Chinese manufacturer Sany has introduced the SY10U to the UK market.

The Sany SY10U is a 1-tonne class micro excavator engineered for high performance in confined and urban environments – its first micro model.

With an operating weight of 1,195 kg, zero tailswing, maximum digging depth of 1,868 mm and maximum reach at ground level of 3,539 mm, it is designed for tight-access applications. It also has a retractable undercarriage (from 745 mm to 1,100 mm) for passage through narrow gateways.

Its Kubota engine delivers 8.8 kW at 2,200 rpm

Durability and serviceability were key priorities in the machine’s design. Steel bodywork and a reinforced boom and arm provide structural strength, while simplified ground-level service points reduce downtime.

"The SY10U marks an exciting step for Sany UK as we expand our mini and micro excavator range," said business development director Leigh Harris. "Customers have been asking for a machine that combines reliability, efficiency, and compact design – and the SY10U delivers on every level."
