Initial groundworks have begun at Lovell Home鈥檚 Swinfen Vale development on Beveridge Lane, Ellistown, as part of the ongoing regeneration of southeast Coalville.
The 10.4-acre greenfield site forms part of a wider area redevelopment led by Harworth Estates. Once complete, it will deliver 146 new homes, comprising a mix of one, two, three and four-bedroom properties.
All properties at Swnifen Vale will be built to achieve SAP B energy ratings, with gas heating supported by solar panels.
Ecological features will include hedgehog highways and swift nesting bricks on every plot, Lovell said.
As part of its planning obligations, Lovell Homes is paying 拢1m into a pot for local infrastructure and services in Coalville.

The first homes at Swinfen Vale are expected to be released for sale in July 2026, with the first residents anticipated to move in from September 2026.
