Brickability has gone all Abrdn on us.
In 2021, asset management firm Aberdeen rebranded as Abrdn. In 2025, after four years of mocking, it reverted back to Aberdeen.
Now AIM-listed brick merchant Brickability has decided that it does not need its vowels and has changed its name to Brck.
It is not yet clear whether Brck is meant to be pronounced ‘brick’ or ‘berk’.
In the company’s defence, its stock market ticker symbol is LSE:BRCK so it can claim some familiarity with the new handle among investors.
Chief executive Frank Hanna explained: "This is an evolutionary change in the group's name from Brickability to Brck, which better represents the breadth of our activities across the group and provides clarity to stakeholders by separating the group name from the Brickability subsidiary's name. Brck unites the group under a single brand, while allowing each subsidiary to retain its established name, product focus and market reputation."
