Senior Fire Engineer - Richmond, Southwest London £55,000 - £75,000 | Hybrid | Fire Engineering Consultancy

A Senior Fire Engineer job is available in Richmond, Southwest London with a specialist, design-led fire engineering consultancy delivering compliant, practical fire strategies across the built environment.

This is a hands-on leadership role, managing complex fire engineering projects from concept to delivery, with clear progression to chartership and long-term career development. The business operates nationally and is known for prioritising quality over volume.

What you'll be doing Project leadership

Lead fire engineering projects from design through to completion

Develop fire strategies, technical reports, sketches, and calculations

Carry out fire dynamics and structural fire assessments

Modelling & analysis

Undertake smoke and evacuation modelling

Perform hand calculations, zone modelling, and CFD simulations

Design & compliance

Review building designs for fire compliance

Develop fire-engineered solutions with the wider design team

Apply UK fire regulations and guidance across multiple sectors

Client & team collaboration

Work with clients, architects, and statutory authorities

Lead meetings and agree compliant design outcomes

Mentor junior engineers and support their technical development

Support the strategic growth of the fire engineering team

What we're looking for Degree in Fire Engineering or related discipline

Senior experience in a fire engineering consultancy

CEng or actively working towards chartership

Strong UK project delivery experience

Experience across new build and existing buildings

Confident client-facing communication

Strong problem-solving and attention to detail

Able to manage multiple projects independently

What you get £55,000 - £75,000
